About CIGA

The Centre for Indo-Global Affairs (CIGA) is an emerging independent think tank committed to advancing high-quality research, informed policy dialogue, and evidence-based analysis on issues of national and global significance. Our mission is to bridge the gap between academic scholarship and real-world policymaking by generating research that is insightful, practical, and impactful.

Our research spans a wide range of disciplines, including Geopolitics, International Relations, Law, Indian Politics, Public Policy, India's Foreign Policy, and Jharkhand-specific Development Studies. By combining academic rigor with policy relevance, we strive to contribute meaningful perspectives that address contemporary challenges while anticipating future opportunities.

At CIGA, we actively analyze evolving global and regional developments, examine historically rooted issues that continue to influence the present, and identify emerging geopolitical and security challenges through research-based forecasting. Our work is driven by the objective of developing practical, solution-oriented policy frameworks that can contribute to informed decision-making at both the national and international levels.

In the field of Law and Justice, our research focuses on strengthening legal institutions and promoting good governance. We examine issues such as delays in justice delivery, the rule of law, constitutional governance, intellectual property rights (IPR), and legal reforms, with the aim of contributing to a more effective and equitable legal system.

Our work in Indian Politics explores the changing dynamics of political institutions, governance models, public policy, and political ideologies. We also undertake research on Centre–State relations and federal governance, promoting a deeper understanding of India's federal structure and identifying pathways to strengthen cooperative federalism.

A distinguishing feature of CIGA is its dedicated focus on Jharkhand's development. Through ground-oriented and policy-driven research, we identify the state's key developmental challenges and propose actionable recommendations that can support inclusive growth, sustainable development, and greater policy attention toward regional priorities.

Beyond research, CIGA is committed to nurturing the next generation of scholars and policy professionals. We promote academic excellence and research culture through Research Aptitude Certificate Courses, Research Internship Programmes, academic collaborations, capacity-building initiatives, and specialized training programmes designed to strengthen research skills and encourage meaningful scholarly engagement.
